This story by Beatrix Potter was copyrighted in 1905, and published by F. Warne and Co., NY. The story is about a young girl named Lucie, who lives on a farm. She is looking for her handkerchiefs and wanders away from the farm. Eventually she discovers an "old woman" who is washing and ironing clothes for the woodland animals. And in the mix Lucie spies her handkerchiefs. The story goes on from there, with a 'reveal' at the end.
There is something special about the old woman, and when you view the cover and the prints you will see what that special something is! The illustrations are very detailed. We have digitally cleaned and restored the color for each print we have chosen.
Each is printed on 8 1/2 x 11 inch archival linen paper, lignin and acid free. The prints are ready for matting using your own pre-cut mat, with either an 8 x 10 or 5 x 7 inch opening.
