The Bird Book by Chester A. Reed is NOT technically, a children’s book. However, it is brimming with hundreds of illustrations of birds, their eggs and nests, almost all in color. Several are in full page color. We only wish there were more full page images!
This book was published in 1916 by Lamb Publishing Company of New York and was illustrated by Mr. Reed himself. Reed was a well-known author, illustrator and naturalist of his time.
If you have a child who loves nature and birds or if the naturalist in you is attracted to birds, you will find some very well done images in this section of Art Prints for Kidz from the vintage book, The Bird Book.
